It has been interesting, having BH around. The more time she spends with
him, the less like Barry he seems to be. Trying to figure out who Savitar
was had been...well, had been difficult. But Caitln had a theory. And if
her theory proved correct, then...perhaps they would be able to avoid it
altogether if they simply...
Caitlin has a theory. BH has nightmares about what Savitar did to him and his time remnant brethern, but sometimes in the dead of night he has the vaguest inkling of a theory he never wanted to give voice. Are they the same theory?
He honestly hopes not. That gives it more reality.
She waves him into the medical lab and thinks about how to best word it,
how to ask him about it. Perhaps things would have changed. Savitar, when
she saw him, looked angry, and seemed like he let something hurt him in a
way that drove him to the edge of madness.
"Because if he is who I think he is, then he would not have gotten to that
point of anger and possibly madness. We may have already changed history
because Team Flash accepted my powers when I first became Frost instead of
shunning me from the group," she begins to explain.
"No." She says this firmly. "And yes. It could have been any of you,
actually. Even Barry. Something must have happened in order for someone to
have gone so far into the dark and be driven to that level of anger and
fear."
"Not with you. I mean, you have a place here with us on STAR Labs. Felicity
and I managed to get you an identity and even your own place in Central,"
she starts rambling.
"He could have left any of the other ones alive too, BH," she reminds him.
"Because you're the one that's left, you have that choice. You could let
yourself become him but you could choose not to. You could stay here with
us."
"You right now is proof enough that you wouldn't. Barry went to Earth-2
where he saw Killer Frost being a villain. I could have become a villain
here when my meta powers surfaced but I didn't," she offers.
