She unlocks her car and walks him around to where the passenger side is and opens the door for him. Caitlin makes her way around and slides into the driver's seat.
"I guess my home would be open and available for you but you live just another block south of my complex, right?"
She pulls out of STAR Labs and helps him up to her apartment, internally
laughing at the irony of it being the other way around so many years ago.
Caitlin carefully moves him to the couch and goes to get extra pillows and
blankets for him.
"Thanks. Sorry. I think...Cisco needs to work on fine tuning that speedster booze." No kidding. For the first hour, it's all fun and party, and then a sudden crash.
"Good thing he has you and Barry to test out the different potencies," she laughs. Caitlin fluffs a pillow and hands it to him before shaking out a blanket. "I can probably cover up the curtains so you wouldn't be blinded by the sun tomorrow."
She thinks he's aiming just right if this and the other sluggish speedster
is anything to go by. Iris has already drawn things on his face and texted
the pictures to her. Caitlin fills a glass with water and brings a few
speedster grade tylonel to set on the coffee table next to BH.
"For the morning. And...don't call me." Dr. Snow is not a morning person.
"Mmmhmm. Don't call on you. Got it, chief." Chief? Yeah, he is definetly one drunk speedster. He gives her a thumbs up without ever even opening his eyes.
She can't help but laugh at the chief comment, leaning down to press a kiss against his forehead before leaving for her own room. She gets ready and settles down into the covers, wondering why she so spontaneously did that.
Oh, it'll keep him up another ten minutes in wonderment as well. At least until the alcohol completely catches up with him and he just manages to fall right to sleep.
And, of course, wake up in a few hours sick to his stomach with a pounding headache. But that's another distraction.
Good thing she put speedster advil near him with a tall glass of water.
Cait wakes up eventually and stays in her bed for a moment or two, just
enjoying being able to sleep in for a little bit on a Saturday. She had
eventually gotten to sleep after thinking about the innocent move. She
hadn't done it before. But it was something that seemed so...out of the
ordinary.
She cares about BH but surely, as a friend, right? He was helping them with
Devoe. And he had no other friends or family per se.
Speedster advil and a lot of water gets him through til morning, when he's somehow able to finally manage sitting up without worrying he's going to hurl up everything he ever ate since he became a time remnant.
In the back of his head, somewhere, he's thinking about what happened last night. The kiss to his forehead, the fact he got so drunk, and it didn't even occur to him to go anywhere else but home with her.
Caitlin finally makes it to her kitchen with a blue robe wrapped around herself. She makes herself as quiet as she could as she's making coffee and gathering things for toast. Once the bread is in the toaster, she goes over and makes sure that the windows are closed enough to not cause him pain.
He's awake, for the most part, once she starts moving around the kitchen. Once she shuts the window, he starts the slow and aching process of sitting up. Carefully.
Caitlin is busy making a pot of coffee. She could make coffee and she could make toast. Anything beyond that would require too much for the doctor to actually comprehend.
